If you mean how many games, there's be 3 when Nightfall comes out. 27th October if I'm right.

Guild Wars: Prophecies was the first chapter released. Guild Wars: Factions was the 2nd chapter that was released. Guild Wars: Nightfall will be the 3rd in the series.

Since the games can be added to the same account to facilitate travel between each continents, builds generally mix skills from all lands. Also, GW can't be compared to WoW. There are no raids, for a start

You have them crafted, or you get them from Collectors, or you buy them from other players, or you pick them up after you kill something and it drops it for you...

The level cap is level 20, yes. However, as I often say, "Guild Wars isn't about getting to the cap; it's about what you do after you reach that point." The most intense and enjoyable parts of each game happen after you reach level 20.

On the L20 subject. Simply hitting L20 is not enough. After that, there are an additional 30 Attribute points to get (by way of 2 separate quests). Also, to gain access to Fissure of Woe and the Underworld, 2 high level explorables accessible from any campaign (Basically, if you want money, jump in here ), you need to Ascend (In Tyria, it's called Ascension, Canthans call it Weh no Su - Closer to the Stars).
